Sunday Update

Pastor is feeling much better today. Karen reported that two of his tubes have been removed (NG tube and one from the incision area). Kerry talked with Keith today for just a couple of minutes. He is definitely tired and in pain but thankful for his progress. Pastor said that he prayed for our church this morning.

Pastor still has leakage of enzymes from the surgical procedure. Pray that the area of the pancreas where they did surgery will heal so that will stop.

Many have asked what is the next treatment but there will be no follow-up radiation or chemotherapy.

Karen said that this has been like a family reunion from personal family members to spiritual family from days of preschool to present. They are so grateful for how God has brought so many friends from across the nation to encourage them. Your cards, letters, prayers and concerns have been greatly appreciated.

On a humorous note, Pastor told Karen they are kind of like Elizabeth and Zacharias since he can't talk. He said Karen was doing enough talking for the both of them though.

Pastor and Karen:
We are glad to hear that some of the tubes have been removed. You know Al would have already been trying to talk anyway! You are continuously in our prayers daily! If there is anything we can do for you back home here in Mobile, please let us know!

Love,
Lori and Al Elmore

We are so happy that you
are making progress. Isaiah
43:2 is what I think about
when I think of your
circumstances now. Notice
it says when you go
THROUGH these things.

We pray that you will sense
the manifested presence of
Jesus so real during
these Christmas holidays.

May God bless you all.

Progress in the name of the Lord is, yet another testimonial to His power!!

When I learned of the illness, I wondered, WHY?? Faith kicked me and quickly reminded me that we will not always understand the works of the Lord; however, we have a responsibility to know the Lord is still working!!!

To your family, I pray for closeness. For the congregation of CHBC, may the faith be kept.

We're here joyously praising God for the miracle we ask him so sincerely for...we knew we needed a miracle and we ask him to let it be through you!
May God move us forward in 2008 with renewed faith and love. Love Jean Cody p.s. Hope you like homemade fruit cake. I have one with your name on it.

We are praying for you both. Believing that the powerful work of our Lord Jesus Christ is at work in every cell, organ, and bodily function. Trusting during this season of longsuffering that you are given grace and peace. Please let us know if we can do anything for you.
